Gedaan met de vakantie...

Het is al belachelijk lang geleden dat ik nog iets gedeeld heb, maar nu het nieuwe schooljaar terug van start is gegaan, beloof ik terug een beetje beter mijn best te doen. 

Niet dat ik ondertussen heb stilgezeten, integendeel, maar het nemen van foto's en opschrijven van patronen, daar ben ik een beetje slordig mee geweest. Nu dus een kleine inhaalbeweging.
De beloofde Engelse vertalingen van eerder gepubliceerde patronen volgen hopelijk ook deze maand.

In juli maakte ik een picknick-tafereeltje, maar die foto's houden jullie nog te goed van me. Ik was heel dapper naar het park gegaan om mooie foto's te maken, om daar tot de conclusie te komen dat de batterij van het fototoestel leeg was. 

Ik startte ook aan een aantal ami's, maar die vergen allemaal nog wat werk voor ze toonbaar zijn. Daarover later dus meer. Voor de nieuwsgierigen onder jullie, ik ben bezig aan een aap (enkel nog in elkaar te zetten), een draak (patroon in wording) en een zeemeermin (enkel nog wat details af te werken).

Het dekentje voor zoonlief is ook bijna af, dat moet enkel nog geblockt worden en de draadjes moeten nog ingestopt worden (waarom hou ik toch zo van streepjes?!).

Verder maakte ik ook nog een aantal babymutsjes, handschoenen en een cowl, maar ik vergat om foto's te maken. Waar ik wel foto's (en een patroon!) van heb zijn deze beestjes:


Een hele tijd geleden kreeg ik een hoop oogjes en neusjes om ami's mee te maken. De gewone oogjes gebruikte ik al eerder, maar er zaten ook kattenoogjes bij en ik vond dat ik daarmee maar eens aan de slag moest gaan. Eens ik begon kon ik echter niet meer stoppen tot ik alle oogjes had opgebruikt en voor ik het wist zat ik dus met een nestje. Een aantal van hen hebben al een nieuw huisje gevonden en de rest geef ik aan het Poekie project.

Omdat ik al enige tijd geleden beloofde om mijn andere patronen in het Engels te vertalen, maar dat nog altijd niet gedaan heb, publiceer ik het nu eerst in het Engels, de Nederlandse vertaling volgt later nog (echt waar beloofd!). Ik gebruikte dezelfde techniek als voor mijn octopus, zodat je enkel de oortjes en de staart moet aannaaien. 

Because I promised to translate my earlier patterns to English a while ago, but still haven't gotten round to it, this pattern will first be published in English.  

There is almost no sewing required, you only have to sew on the ears and tail. The same technique was used on the octopus pattern.

I used Catania and a 2.5mm hook for most cats, the big one is made out of acrylic with a 3.5mm hook, for the black an brown one I used some wool scraps, so they are a little smaller. Hats were made mostly out of Catania, with a 4mm hook,  except for the big one, which was made out of sockwool scraps. You will also need, stuffing,  a pair of safety eyes and some scraps and a needle to embroider the facial details.
